TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Halim Perdanakusuma Airport management analysis predicts the peak momentum of the Eid al-Fitr mass exodus has taken place on Tuesday as the last day of the national collective leave will end on Wednesday, April 26, where businesses and offices would start operating again.

Citing state news agency Antara, the passenger traffic departing and landing at the aforementioned airport located in East Jakarta was visually more packed than on Monday.

According to the data from the airport’s Eid mass exodus monitoring post, there were 10,663 travelers passing through the Halim Perdanakusuma airport one day after the Eid al-Fitr holiday on April 24. Officials say that this is the moment there were influxes in air travel traffic.

Halim Perdanakusuma spokesperson Col. Insan Nanjaya on Tuesday, April 25, said “Data on passenger increase has started to be logged,” and “We predict the peak mass exodus back will take place today.”

As of Tuesday noon (12:00), the airport had served 14 departure flights and 27 arrival flights.
