How would it be to get lost in a world that redefines the power of a journey, that recolors your palate through a multitude of sensations?

Such an experience can be yours at the Padma Hotel Semarang, which brings its guests inviting, avant-garde cuisine amid the artistic and multicultural heritage of one of Java’s foremost cities.

The hotel’s new brunch menu, Sunday Brunch: Flavours of The World, will resonate with lovers of Maroon 5’s “Sunday Morning”, as one small part of the Padma Hotel’s indulgent, all-in-one resort experience.

The revamped menu brings the magic of traveling the world to Semawis All-Day Dining, as guests relax in the restaurant’s contemporary design.

But the journey doesn’t stop there.

As you flip through the pages of the new brunch menu, you will find yourself surprised by the variety of flavors of the world, with dishes from America, Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia and our own archipelago, with offerings that change regularly.

You might not know which country the menu will highlight tomorrow, but you can rest assured it will be delicious.

You might find yourself delighted by the color schemes of golden, crisp roast beef with gherkins or a country terrine dipped in remoulade, decorated with beef pepperoni and cold cuts alongside the yellows of mustard and international cheeses and colorful dried fruits. Of course, these New York deli-inspired dishes would be incomplete without the classic touch of pistachios.

Or perhaps you’ll enjoy the many variations of Turkish kebabs and pizzas on offer, like a mixtape of flavors. Or your tastebuds may travel to Tokyo at the restaurant’s sashimi corner, before you find yourself in the comfort of an Indonesian home with the welcoming aromas of terong belado and tempe orek.

Filled with tempting Russian flavors is the chicken schaschlik, alongside a dish of sour cream, rice and meat delicately rolled into a cabbage leaf called golubtsi. You might also indulge in velvety pillows of pirozhki, plump with meat and rice.

To make your culinary travel more official, everyone who enjoys the hotel’s Sunday Brunch will receive a “passport” with the mission of discovering the different countries, as represented by the menu items.

“The guests will be asked to collect [different countries’] stamps as proof of their enjoyment of the food written on the passport,” said Marco Braun, executive chef of Padma Hotel Semarang.

Chef Marco Braun emphasized that he wanted diners to have a unique an multifaceted culinary experience that encompassed the pleasures of traveling abroad.

This transforming cuisine is a dream for those who need an effortless vacation, because nothing is more revitalizing than exploring ourselves through the colorful flavors of the world.
