Jokowi Spends Eid Al-Adha Holiday with Grandkids; Greets ... - Tempo.co English

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi spent the Eid al-Adha holiday by gathering with his two grandchildren Sedah Mirah Nasution and Panembahan Al Nahyan Nasution in Yogyakarta. The president took the kids to greet members of the public around the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace on Thursday, June 29.

President Jokowi and his family carry out Eid al-Adha prayers in Yogyakarta today. About two thousand people took part in the prayer which was held in the courtyard of the Agung Building.

After the Eid al-Adha prayer, Jokowi walked to the front yard of the Yogyakarta Presidential Palace with his two grandchildren to say hi to the public and took selfies with some of them.

"I am so happy to meet Pak Jokowi, this is the first time I have seen him in person," said Ica, a fourth-grader from Malang who is on vacation in Yogyakarta

On the same day, President Jokowi also provided assistance to hawkers in the Malioboro area.
