What October half term holiday fun was had by everyone! - Haringey Council
Children and young people across Haringey had an exciting and fantastic time over the school holidays last week thanks to the many numerous activities, courses and events in our October Half Term Fun Booklet!
From bird surveys to basketball, drama to dance and fungi to football, there was something for everyone – and all ages and abilities – right here in our borough.
The best bit too was that most of the activities, courses and events on offer were provided FREE to the Haringey community or at low cost.
Young boys, girls and women enjoyed contemporary and street dance sessions over at New River Sport and Fitness on White Hart Lane.
Haringey families also had a spook-tacular time at the ‘Creepy Castle Returns’ events at Bruce Castle Museum, where visitors were (trick or) treated to arts and crafts sessions as well as the Bones and Potion Labs.
Attendees also had to guess the body parts in the mystery boxes over at the tower and the ‘Ghost of Bruce Castle, Lady Constantia Coleraine,’ unnerved all those present with sporadic, ghoulish appearances across this two-day event.
There was a distinct Halloween vibe too over at the Rising Green Youth Hub in Wood Green, with youngsters playing board and computer games; participating in creative and mental health workshops and music/podcasting/radio sessions and cooking up some tasty tuck in the training kitchen.
Thank you to all our partners/session providers and parents/carers for helping to facilitate and support the activities, courses and events in our Fun Booklet over the October half term holidays.
Please continue to check our Holiday Fun and Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme pages for further information on our provision over the Christmas, February half term and Easter holidays to come.
