Camp Holiday Trails receives $50,000 donation from Foxfield Races - 29 News

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Camp Holiday Trails in Albemarle County is receiving a $50,000 donation from this past weekend’s 45th running of the Foxfield Races.

This is the nonprofit’s third year working with Foxfield. The money will be used to help with the camp’s 50th anniversary campaign. It includes construction of a new medical facility for campers.

“The truth is that it takes many hands. When we have an organization like Foxfield that really is thinking about collaboration in a really strategic way it just makes all the difference,” Camp Holiday Trails Executive Director Tina LaRoche said, “For us to go this alone would be really challenging but to do it with them and to do it with our partners makes our work that much easier.”

Camp Holiday Trails says it is planning a big event for its 50th anniversary this fall. It hopes to break ground on the medical facility during the celebration.
