KAI Yogyakarta Holds a Fun Trip Carnival Program During School Holiday - Tempo.co English

TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - State railway company PT KAI of Operational Area 6 or Daop 6 in Yogyakarta is organizing a 'Fun Trip Carnival with KAI' program during the school holidays. This program runs from 24 June to 14 July 2024 at KAI stations in the area of Daop 6 Yogyakarta.

"Through this program, Daop 6 Yogyakarta has prepared several pleasant surprises for children who use the train," said Daop 6 Yogyakarta Public Relations Manager Krisbiyantoro, Friday, June 28, 2024.

The series of Fun Trip Carnival with KAI programs includes Magician & Clown Performances, Music Performances, Fun Field Trips, Kids Activities, Kids Corner, and others. KAI Yogyakarta officials will also periodically greet customers at stations and trains while providing official KAI merchandise.

"The customer greeting shows that Daop 6 is always ready to provide optimal service to customers and meet every customer need," he said.

Especially for the Solo Balapan station, KAI Yogyakarta also provides a Kids Corner, which is more complete than the existing play area.

As one of the series of Fun Trip Carnival with KAI programs, Daop 6 Yogyakarta held a children's activity in the form of cup painting at Lempuyangan Station on Friday, June 28, 2024. Child train passengers enthusiastically participated in the activity. Children participating in Mug Painting also received gifts from KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta.

"Daop 6 hopes that through children's activities at stations such as this, it will add a new color to customers' vacations during the school holidays and improve its service to customers," Krisbiyantoro concluded.

At the beginning of the school vacation period, Daop 6 Yogyakarta recorded the number of passengers departing and arriving from or at Daop 6 on June 22-27, 2024 as high as 251,965 passengers. This is almost the same as the Eid al-Adha holiday period on June 13-18, 2024, which recorded 259,110 passengers.

"We urge customers to take good care of their children who are invited to board the train during the boarding and disembarking process. Be aware of the safety limits of the yellow line on the platform and the gap between the platform and the train," Krisbiyantoro said.
